Frequently asked questions about Gallipoli
Gallipoli is worth a visit any month of the year. For the sea and full nightlife, the high season runs from 20 June to 31 August: Baia Verde is at its maximum. For those who want to enjoy the Salento in peace, April, May and the second half of September offer still warm seas with lower prices. From October to March the prices are the most advantageous of the year: ideal for discovering local traditions, Christmas markets and an authentic Gallipoli. GallipoliTravel is open all year, contact us for a quote based on your dates.
It depends on what you're looking for. Baia Verde is the right choice for those who want the most famous beaches, nightlife and the Praja nightclub on foot. Lido San Giovanni is perfect for families with children, thanks to the shallow waters of the Piccolo Lido and a quieter atmosphere. Our area guides help you choose.
In none of our areas do you need a car for daily life. At Baia Verde beaches, beaches and night clubs are all within walking distance: no parking, no evening stress. At Lido San Giovanni you have everything within 250 meters: beach, restaurants, pizzerias, bars, petrol station, hairdresser, laundry and supermarket. For kids, Gondar Park is also within walking distance. Those who book in the city center, however, often find themselves far from the sea, dependent on the car and struggling with the summer traffic of Gallipoli. GallipoliTravel also offers a private shuttle service from the airport and station to arrive without worries.
